'Raggedy Ann' Walking Animation 2

Description

UPDATE: Background has been removed! And the legs behind the pony have been darkened, shadow included.

This rehash was a long time coming, and for a reason. :)

No png sequences were used this time. I built this pony literally from scratch the way I'm sure the show's animators did. Each segment contributes to the walk. 48 layers tops.

The head's jaunty movement is unlike the way the show's characters rotate on the neck. I'll just keep it like that. :)

The secret of the cutie mark has been cracked! ('Skewing' is the way to go)

Mane and tail have been animated separately. I broke it all down to one strand each.

Mane - 8 (and a half) pieces
Tail - 6 pieces

Completion time: 10 days! And that's from assembling.

Tools: Adobe Flash, Photoshop CS5

Well, let's just call this a 'jump-off point' towards progress. The key to getting better, apparently, is messing with as much of the interface as possible till you find something else by accident, and realize how much of an idiot you've been to miss it, then using that to spare you the anguish of going through the motions of hair animation. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Feedback is most welcome. Please tell me what you all think. :)

This is absolutely fantastic. The animation sequence is non buggy and plus it is very fun to watch. Though her cutie mark is very unclear (What's her talent??).

The background is very dull (But I did noticed your unliking for it so I won't blame you for it) it kinda reminds me of a flipnote hatena brush.

The hair is very very unique and colorful. Though the bangs don't need to be animated, and the hair behind the head is moving when it really should be in the hat.

But overall This is probably one of the most fun walking ponies i've ever seen.

(Excuse my, This is my first critique cx)
